Mental Health Specialists

Nurse Practitioners

"My name is Claudia Rodriguez, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a deep commitment to improving mental health care. I immigrated from Mexico as a child and was raised in El Paso, Texas, where I developed a strong connection to my community. This connection fuels my passion for helping those in need. As a devoted mother of three beautiful children, I am inspired to create compassionate and supportive environments for everyone I encounter. My academic journey began at El Paso Community College, where I earned an Associate of Arts in Pre-Nursing. I then pursued my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech University Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing, graduating in December 2015. To further my expertise in psychiatric care, I completed my education at the University of Texas at El Paso in December 2022. Before becoming a nurse, I worked as a nursing assistant for four years in various nursing homes, where I gained invaluable experience in patient care. With over seven years of experience in the emergency department, I have honed my skills in providing empathetic and effective care in high-pressure environments. My dedication to mental health is evident in my daily practice, where I prioritize the well-being of my patients and strive to improve mental health outcomes within my community. I am highly motivated and deeply committed to my profession. My passion for mental health care and my ability to connect with patients make me a valuable asset in any healthcare setting. I continue to focus on delivering quality care and advocating for mental health awareness and support."
